EXTRACTIONS

Picture
Permanent tooth that has become completely non-vital and that can’t be saved using any other restorative procedures will have to be extracted. Extraction involves local anesthesia to prevent undue pain and stress on the patient. Many factors affect the complexity on an extraction such as the profile of the tooth, the condition of the gums, patient anxiety and also brittleness of the tooth structure.

ORTHODONTICS

Picture
Orthodontics can make an astonishing improvement in one's appearance as the teeth, jaws and lips become properly aligned. Braces are used to correct a bad bite (malocclusion), a condition in which teeth are crowded, crooked or cases in which the upper and lower jaws may not be properly aligned.

TOOTH COLOURED FILLING

Picture
White Fillings are an excellent alternative to metal (amalgam) fillings. White fillings consist of a resin based material called composite. This composite is actually bonded to the tooth surface. This differs from metal fillings, which are only held in the tooth by undercuts in the cavity.

SCALING/POLISHING

Picture
Regular scaling is effective for general removal of plaque and tartar on the inner and outer surfaces of the teeth.
Scaling is also  effective to remove staining in between the teeth and under the gums.  Once all the surfaces are smooth, the dental hygienist may polish your teeth.
Polishing is done using a slow speed handpiece with a soft rubber cup that spins on the end.
Prophylaxis (short for prophy) paste – a special gritty toothpaste-like material – is scooped up like ice cream into the cup and spun around on the teeth to make them shiny smooth.

ENDODONTIC

Picture
Root Canal Treatment / Endodontic (RCT) is needed in order to treat or prevent an infection occurring inside the tooth.
Treatment maybe required when there is an extensive decay involving the nerve of the tooth, a fractured tooth, extensive gum disease, trauma to the tooth or when a tooth shows sign of toothache such as spontaneous unprovoked pain, pain on hot and cold stimuli, pain that disturbs sleep, pain with swelling or pain on biting.
This is the only way to save the tooth from being extracted

TOOTH WHITENING

Picture
Tooth whitening can be performed to reduce discoloration and staining, or simply to provide the patient with whiter, brighter teeth. One visit is usually all it takes for a bright smile.
The latest bleaching methods ensure that you have a more radiant and delightful smile. In due course of time, teeth become dark since minerals breach the enamel surface of the tooth. As bleaching agents split up, oxygen is pushed through the tooth enamel. Staining rapidly vanishes and the tooth structure is not harmed.

DENTURES

Picture
Denture is a plastic appliance with plastic or porcelain teeth attached to it. Used to replace all missing teeth in one arch. A conventional denture is placed in the mouth about a month after all the teeth are removed to allow for proper healing, whereas an immediate denture is placed as soon as the teeth are removed. The drawback behind an immediate denture is that it may require more adjustments after the healing has taken place.

DENTAL IMPLANT

Picture
Dental implants have become a choice treatment option for many patients who are missing one or more teeth. A dental implant is a replacement tooth "root" constructed of medical grade titanium. Dental implants are extremely stable, strong and natural looking.
Patients with dental implants are able to eat, smile and laugh without fear or embarrassment that their denture may slip or click, or that their bridge will trap food.

CROWNS

Picture
Grinding your teeth, an improper bite, age, fillings and tooth decay can all be contributing factors in the wearing down, cracking or breakage of your teeth.
Dental crowns cover the entire visible surface of your affected tooth and add strength, durability and tooth stability.
The advantage of all porcelain crowns is that they provide the most beautiful, natural esthetics available.

FISSURE SEALANT

Picture
Fissure sealant is a light coating which is applied to these surfaces of teeth to produce a protection on enamel from bacteria that cause decay.

Teeth often have areas that they are too difficult to clean so gradually collect plaque and bacteria.
Usually the molar teeth are the case of needing sealants, especially at a younger age.

ORAL SURGERY

Picture
Oral surgery is the specialty of dental practice that deals with the diagnosis and surgical treatment of diseases, injuries and defects of the mouth, jaws, face and related structures. This includes the removal of impacted and decayed teeth, placement of dental implants, biopsy and removal of cysts and tumors of the mouth and jaws, treatment of facial trauma and reconstructive jaw surgery.

BRIDGES

Picture
A bridge is a dental device that fills a space that a tooth previously occupied.

Shifting of the teeth that can lead to bite problems (occlusion) and/or jaw problems and resultant periodontal disease.

Bridges safeguard the integrity of existing teeth and help maintain a healthy, vibrant smile.
